project: mass livestream, funeral livestream
case study
The COVID-19 pandemic upended large gatherings—one of which was the ability to go to church and attend events, such as funerals.
Attending Mass in the Catholic church places a high emphasis on physical actions like preparing the gifts and the sacrifice of the Mass.
Still, St. Paul’s Parish in Richmond wanted to appeal to its parishioners at home and gather together, even virtually.
St. Paul’s Parish needed a media crew who could operate the church’s media equipment while keeping the reverence of the Mass; one that could capture key moments so that parishioners at home could still feel like they’re part of the celebration.
Miso Media knew the flow of the Mass, which helped them capture key moments.
MM also worked closely with the Church to provide the best angles and audio quality for the recording.
St. Paul’s Parish was able to engage with its parishioners through weekly live-streamed Masses during the pandemic.
Among the hundreds of viewers were also faithful Catholics around the world!
MM also helped nearly half a dozen families virtually join in funerals, connecting loved ones across the globe during a difficult time.
